To greet the arrival of good weather, the town of Lucignano celebrates.Invoking good wishes for abundant harvests, this folkloristic festival has been held for centuries and today it is well known and attracts visitors from all over. The last two Sundays in May are filled with decorated allegorical carts, brimming with flowers, as they parade throughout the town competing for the prize for the most beautiful cart. As a backdrop to the spectacle, the streets, balconies and doorways of Lucignano are decorated with flowers, and musical bands and folkloristic groups from afar partake in the historical procession.
