At Oste di Montemurlo a commemoration of the historic battle that took place in the town in 1537 between Medici troups and Florentine exiles is held. There is a true revisiting of those ancient days with locals interpreting the protagonists of the time. The archery competition between the three villages of Oste, Montemurlo and Bagnolo with the awarding of prizes is worthy of note.
Various folkloristic, musical and flag groups take part in the procession.
