Immersed in the beautiful Tronto Valley surrounded by splendid forests and mountains, lies Acquasanta whose name says it all (Holy Water). Its waters, known to the Romans, were famous for their curative properties. Up until the 1800’s the thermal spa was centred around an immense natural pool where sulphureous hot waters flowed. Together hundreds of people could enjoy the beneficial effect of a swim in the pool.Today the name and facilities are new, but the sulphureous, saline-bromine-iodic waters remain the same.Those who venture to this corner of the National Park can take advantage of modern technology and the up-to-date accommodations that have been added to this magnificent natural setting.
